Pedal assist can be activated by selecting a PAS level using the PAS selector buttons. The higher the PAS level, the more power is delivered with each pedal stroke, and the easier it is to ride. There is also an option to select no pedal assistance (PAS level 0) and use the throttle only or ride without assistance from the motor by pedaling.

I took the S5 bike out for a long ride this weekend for about a 30 mile round trip. The trail I took was almost all flat. By the time I got back home, my battery display showed that I still had 2 bars left on the charge. I did not use the power assist too much. The battery started off with full bars. One thing I noticed is that if you take a long ride on a bumpy trail, you should get a wider, more comfortable seat if you do most of your riding sitting down. I was able to get the bike to over 30 miles an hour and I felt pretty comfortable and stable doing it. Being able to step through the bike to get on and off is a really nice convenient feature. Im 200 lbs and the acceleration was pretty impressive for a Ebike. The one thing that needs to Figured out, is when you do want to carry the bike in your car trunk (and your doing it alone) and the bike is unlatched in half, It is very awkward to pick up. The bike wants to open back up again when picked up. It Would be nice to have some sort of lock to keep it folded so it wont open up. Right now i used a strong Bungee cord. Other than that its been very fun. I would recommend this as a daily commuter to anyone.
First I was a little worried about how everything would work, so I did some reading before I got on the e-bike to ride. I was shocked how it felt for a bigger bike. So my wife took it and she liked it and in a few days I hade another one in my garage. It’s a blast to get out again and not worry about going up the big hills.I must say we love it. It arrived soooo quickly I was shocked. It has everything including kick stand. The packing was amazing and I'm now charging battery! Can't wait I've been a motorcycle driver ( drove my Harley across America in 2009) so expect the transition to be easy and it will provide me a more healthy lifestyle. I can't wait to explore all the trails around my home town!
