I purchased this bike for my girlfriend and she just absolutely loves it. Unfortunately the range leaves something to be desired. She’s only about 140lbs and she can’t really get more than 15 miles on full electric power. Pedal assist she can get about 45 miles which is ok but other than that she loves everything about it. Light enough for her to move and takes up very little space in her apartment when folded. She doesn’t drive or own a car so this bike has really helped her get around town. I use a Tesgo STT and we love taking our bikes to the old zoo at Griffith Park. I wish the Q7 was still available, but I will probably split the controller cords and add a second battery to up the range, once the warranty is up that is.
I got the Q5 Plus version for the 15AH battery. High quality made. Heavier than expected. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall and it is a perfect size for me. If you are shorter than me, I think the bike would be a bit too big for you. . As for the range, it seems like the bike can do at least 30 miles in pure electric mode and still have two bars left. However, I always charge the bike when it has two bars out of five bars left so I never know what is it’s true range in pure electric mode.
